VETS

Andy veitch

 Andy qualified in 1986 and became a partner in the business in 1991. His interests are in small animal medicine and surgery and he mostly sees pets but is let out on occassions to do farm visits.

After giving up rugby a few years ago his main interests are cricket, cycling and walking his dogs Bonnie and Barney.

Jo french

 Jo joined the practice from Glasgow University in 2002 and specialises in cattle work with a keen interest in dairy cow fertility and nutrition.  When not at work she enjoys walking her two labradors Harris and Erin in the countryside. 

Beth Graham

 Beth joined the practice in summer 2022, having spent the last 5 years on the Isle of Bute. She enjoys all aspects of mixed practice but has particular interests in small animal surgery and farm work. Outside of work most of her time is spent looking after a small menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, ponies and fish!   


JAYNE BANNER

Joined us in summer 2024 having graduated from the Dick Vet School in Edinburgh. She is interested in all aspects of mixed veterinary work

Orla keefe

Siobhan Smith

Siobhan joined the practice in 2001 after the foot & mouth outbreak to help us out with the backlog of  TB testing.

She has stayed on as a locum, juggling working in practice with bringing up 4 kids


NURSING STAFF

Kim Waugh

Kim hails from Canada and moved over here in 2004. She worked with Siobhan in Canada and met her future husband on a trip over here. After working at Forest Garden for a few years, a position in the practice became available and she has been with us since 2006. She has a Springer Spaniel called Hanna

Lynn Campbell

Lynn came as a Barony Vet Nurse student in 2012 and has quickly become part of the team. She qualified in September 2014 and has stayed on to work in the practice. Her cat is called Wilbur.

Laura Bowsher

Laura is from Moffat and joined us in August 2015 having worked in Biggar for year. She has a Border Collie, Izzy and a cat, Moo.

Kayleigh Warrick

Kayleigh did her nurse training with us and then worked in Annan for 2 years before moving back permanently to take up a nursing post. She plays rugby for Annan Ladies and has 2 Jack Russells called Mouse and Reggie


DAISY HICKMAN SVN

Daisy has been with us through 2023-24 as a student nurse from the Barony. After completing her exams she is staying on to work mainly in reception, while she completes 4th year at the college


ADMINISTRATION

Wendy Murchie

 Wendy joined us in 2016 having worked for the NHS as a district nurse. Her dog Lola is a mixture of lots of breeds (Cockersproderrussell) and loves to play in the mud 

Leigh Geddes

Leigh came as an student having studied as an Animal Nursing Assitant and has stayed on to work in the office and occassion help out with the nursing side

Hannah Ireland

 Hannah joined the practice at the start of June 2022 having recently moved from another veterinary practice. Hannah is originally from Ulverston but has lived locally for the past 3 years. In her spare time she enjoys walking her two Jack Russels, Rex & Ralph, and helping out on the family farm.  

Gillian Kevans

Gillian is Lockerbie born and bred. She is a married mother of 3 boys and proud grandmother of Annalise. She loves spending time with her cat Pagan and boxer Brandi
